EXCERPT
Set Up: The love goddess Aria materialized out of the northern lights…
Aria stretched forth her jeweled fingers, and Jamie found herself in a different space. Dozens of candles formed a ring in which the trio sat on colorful pillows, and shadowy images flickered across mirrored walls. It might have been an Arabian dwelling, a Gypsy tent, or a sacred Celtic chamber.
Jamie huddled closer to Ryan. Wherever they were, they were no longer in the Minnesota north woods. What had they gotten themselves into—and how were they ever going to get back to their tent? The goddess looked friendly enough, but she wasn’t real. She couldn’t be real.

Something tells me they’re not going to be in a big hurry to get back to that tent in Minnesota!
Adriana Kraft says
LOL I totally agree!
Jenna Jaxon says
When someone looks friendly “enough” usually they aren’t very friendly. This has the potential for big problems–if, indeed, it’s real. I wouldn’t want to be in their shoes! Great snippet! Tweeted.
Adriana Kraft says
Hmm – maybe I underplayed her friendliness too much… I think at this point they don’t especially trust her (and they probably think they’re dreaming), but they’re definitely not able to leave 🙂 so they’ll go with the flow.
Iris B says
Hmm … friendly enough? Makes me wonder, friendly enough for what 😉
Happy New Year, Adriana 🙂
