Handcuffs and Roses

Written by Destiny Blaine

Book Two Trouble in Paradise

Release Date: July 17, 2013

Book Description:

Max Mahaffey is Hollywood’s number one bachelor. He’s also the owner of the most lucrative modeling agency in the world. When a client invites him to an unusual commitment ceremony, he’s obligated to attend. Obligation turns to expectation after Max meets a Georgia beauty destined for a career in the fashion industry and maybe even Max’s bed.

Sebastian Stillwell didn’t plan on spending the night with Jade Jenkins. He was only doing his buddies a favor. They needed a best man and he was their guy, even if it meant briefly reconnecting with the only woman he has ever loved.

A wedding to remember, a twist of fate and tempting fantasies bring Jade, Sebastian, and Max together for an unforgettable night, but the evening doesn’t end with a kiss goodbye and an oath to keep in touch.

“Tell me something, Stillwell. Why would you let a woman like Jade get away?”

“As of right now, I like you, Mr. Hollywood. Keep jabbing me with insults, and I might change my mind.”

Max casually leaned against the tube-style railing surrounding the patio. “I’m not trying to offend you. I’m curious and nothing more. Why’d you let her go? Was it because of the BDSM scene and fetish clubs? Did you need to sow a few wild oats? What?”

“Are you writing a novel?”

“No, why? Would the love story be worth documenting?”

Sebastian laughed. “At one time it would’ve been.”

“Then what happened?” So much for Sebastian picking Max’s brain about his intentions.

“I can’t explain it. I was young for one.”

“You cheated on her for two, and I can’t imagine why. Even a nineteen year old boy recognizes when he has a beautiful woman in his bed.”

Sebastian felt a sense of pride then. He took a drink of his martini and savored the green apple taste. “You make a mean drink.”

“And an even meaner rival when I want a woman.”

“You don’t waste any time. Do you?”

“Let’s just say I knew what I was in for when I traveled to Georgia for the Agnew-Shanks ceremony.”

“I’m not surprised. Annabelle has been trying to keep us apart for the last few years.”

“She values your friendship.”

“She does, huh?” Sebastian shook his head. “She might like me well enough to have me over for dinner, but Jade is like her sister. She would fight mountain lions for her.”

“I’d like to watch that,” Max said, laughing. “Annabelle and I have worked together for over eight years, and I’ve never seen her claws come out even once.”

“She has quiet rage. Believe me. I’ve been on the receiving end of dagger-filled eyes.”

The waves lapped at the shore and they stood there nursing their drinks for a moment before Sebastian mustered up the courage and asked, “So you came here for her?”

“In a word…yes. I came here for her.”

“That’s what I was afraid of,” Sebastian muttered.

“What I didn’t count on was the desire to leave with both of you.”

Lula Lisbon on Tour

Today we’re thrilled to welcome Lula Lisbon, on tour for her recent release, Cinderella, a BDSM retelling. I just have to say, this sure sounds yummy! Be sure to scroll down for her giveaway.

Playing Prometheus: When Art Takes on a Life of Its Own

I’ve been an artist in many mediums as long as I can remember, from drawing, to fashion design, to music, to silversmithing, to creative writing. That’s a short list, by the way. And yet, I am always surprised and delighted by the supernatural way a creation often takes on a life and intent of its own, seemingly with very little help from me. It’s its own kind of magic, I think, and a process by which I feel simultaneously blessed, empowered, and humbled. I create because I love the process, but also because I feel I must — somewhere between a compulsion, an obsession, and a Goddess complex. I’m happy to report, though, that I haven’t cut off any ears or other various appendages yet.

Originally, I had a seed of an idea for a femdom retelling of Cinderella for a submission call last summer for an anthology of kinky fairy tale retellings. The word count maximum was 5,000 words, though by the deadline I had probably only written about 300 — what is now part of the first page of a 21,000+ novella.

After writing Doubled: A Science Fiction Novelette, which clocks in at just above 12,000 words, I tackled NaNoWriMo with the intention of writing my first novel. That idea has grown and grown, until now it’s a massive concept for an epic trilogy. Aeternitas: Goddess of Time is a time travel lesbian romance spanning dimensions as well as centuries. I’m going to have to let it percolate for a while longer, meanwhile beefing up my writing chops like a marathon runner in training.

Although Cinderella is much more humble in its span, the manner in which it demanded percolation and incubation was similar. The concept of a magical strap-on which comes to life was there from the beginning, as was the femdom concept. But Cinderella’s complex relationship with her Mistresses, as well as her budding discovery of her own talents and desires, was a constant surprise and delight to write. Where I had thought Dominas Druscilla and Arabelle Ravyn would be entirely evil characters, they took on buffoonish aspects even as they were still very sexy — the lesbian threesome scene had me gasping for air by the end.

The ballroom scene, where famous rock star Kink-Bottom Prince is holding auditions for his new live-in Mistress, demanded more and more of me. There was so much that needed to happen: emotions to be explored, kinky sex to be had, with the story grabbing me by the hair and not letting go until I’d fulfilled all its needs. How could I leave out subjugation and degradation of the Ravyn stepsisters? How could I settle for just one or two orgasms when mind-blowing multiples are what we all want? How could I fail to describe the complex emotions of Kink-Bottom Prince and his Domina Cinderella for one another?

I’m relieved to report that the story felt I did well by it, and I’m proud of how it turned out. But I think the greatest joy, aside from the frenzied act of creation itself, is watching your work grow and gain consciousness and at last break free from you, fully formed and gleaming like Athena from the skull of Zeus. Creating art truly is creating the fire of universes, and it is the noblest gift from the gods to humanity – if I do say so myself.

“Dominas, I don’t want anything else, only to go to the ball. I will only bring honor to the House, I swear! Just please, please, I beg you… I am your apprentice and I want to truly begin to domme. You said I did well, and after yesterday’s experience, I know I am ready!”

Druscilla scowled, and Arabelle’s eyes had grown steely. The belated realization that she had pushed too far overwhelmed her all at once; Cinderella’s vision darkened slightly round the edges, and she felt as if she might faint. She dropped her eyes and opened her mouth to apologize, but a backhand slap across her face took her breath away. Staggering, Cinderella caught herself with one hand and just barely prevented herself from sprawling across the floor. She looked up to see Domina Arabelle towering over her, and her heart skipped a beat in terror.

“We give you the tiniest bit of leeway and this is how you act? Honestly, Cinderella, I don’t even know why we bother with you! Every good Mistress starts at the bottom, and only her Mistress before her — not she — may decide when the apprentice is ready to begin her training.” Her voice grew dangerously quiet. “Do you think you know better than we?”

Cinderella shook her head no, fighting a prickle of tears which were threatening to overflow, but she knew it was too late. Arabelle’s hand struck out like a snake, slapping Cinderella hard across the other cheek, and the apprentice reeled back. “How dare you presume to tell us when you are ready? We have fed and clothed and trained you. Everything you have, everything you know, everything you are is because of us. So you did well in your first session, but it was one session — one session! — and you think that makes you a proper Mistress, let alone an adequate apprentice? You make me sick. You want your precious reward? Well, I’ll give you your reward, one you won’t soon forget.” She grabbed Cinderella by one wrist and shoved her over to an unpadded sawhorse. Cinderella stumbled and fell, doubled over the wooden crossbar. She felt its rough, unfinished edges digging into her middle, but she forced herself to relax and hold her ankles as she’d been taught. She could see her fingers trembling, despite the fact her knuckles were white with the tightness of her grip.

Domina Druscilla sauntered toward the scene, circling the prostrate apprentice like a vulture around fresh meat. She took a flogger from a rack on the wall and slapped it against her palm experimentally. The leather strands made a dry cracking and slithering noise, and Druscilla found herself breathing harder in excited anticipation. Arabelle pulled up the skirt of Cinderella’s shift, exposing her naked ass. As part of her uniform, an apprentice was never to wear underthings without permission from her Mistresses. It made the prospect of punishing the girl that much easier — and that much more erotic, Domina Druscilla mused. She caressed the smooth curve of one hip, trailing light fingers over one buttock, intending to make the contrast between her almost affectionate caress that much starker to the cruelty of the flogger’s. With practiced patience, she waited until she sensed Cinderella relaxing slightly before wielding her weapon across the creamy flesh.

Dominas Arabelle and Druscilla Ravyn’s talented apprentice, Cinderella, wants to become a Mistress, but the cruel stepsisters thwart her at every turn. When famous rock star Kink-Bottom Prince is seeking a new Mistress from all those in the City, poor Cinderella doesn’t think she stands a chance. But a kind Fairy Kink Mother magically appears to help Cinderella win her Prince’s collar — and heart.

This 21,000+ word erotic novella contains menage, femdom, a submissive rock star getting fucked in front of his fans, spanking, whipping, magical strap-ons that come to life, pegging, face-sitting, forced feminization and sissification, a self-satisfied Fairy Kink Mother, squirting, fisting, exhibitionism, comedy relief, and much more!
