The Best Man ~ Two weeks and counting!

We can hardly wait! The two halves of Adriana are launching our own indie imprint, B&B Publishing, with the release of our erotic romance novel The Best Man, on May 31! We’ve already heard back from one reviewer:

I LOVED THIS BOOK! Everything about Kitty and Jared was amazing. The run to and pull back and chase between them is amazing. Laurie, The Romance Reviews.

We’re thrilled with this cover by Dawné Dominique of DuskTilDawn Designs:

Bad boy meets bad girl. Is there anything more?

BLURB

Passionate, hard working and every inch a business woman,Chicago realtor Kitty Paige likes her sex raw and edgy, and sees no reason to limit herself to just one man. Never married and not quite forty, the striking blonde has successfully raised her daughter, Susan, and is already pushing her new-found freedom to the limits.

Wealthy commodities middle-man and race horse owner Jared Jacobs is father of the best man at Susan’s wedding. He is smitten by the vision in yellow who exudes sex as she escorts her daughter down the aisle. Also single, the handsome mustached California ranch owner with mischievous eyes views his sex life as a series of splendid love affairs, and sets out to make Kitty next on the list.

Together and apart, their chemistry is explosive, and their sparkling repartee and steamy sex catch both partners by surprise. Jared is first to recognize he’s fallen in love. When Kitty panics, can Jared finesse his every move and reel her in?

EXCERPT

Leaning against the banquet room wall, Jared Jacobs surreptitiously studied his prey one more time. The tall shapely blonde in the canary yellow dress and yellow stilettos had drawn his attention from the moment he’d seen her walking her daughter down the aisle.

She’d escorted the bride with her chin up and with a satisfied smile on her ruby lips. Apparently she and her daughter didn’t mind thumbing their noses at custom. Unlike many mothers of the bride he’d seen, this one did not carry a Kleenex in her hand. She probably didn’t have any in her tiny clutch purse, either. Tears wouldn’t come naturally to the fair-skinned female exuding confidence at the chapel and here at the reception.

She appeared to laugh easily enough with acquaintances at the table where she was seated. But a careful observer would note that her laughter seldom reached her eyes. Like him, she was a sharp observer. She’d assessed everyone in the room, particularly the men. When her gaze had settled on his from across the room, she’d lingered ever so briefly before moving her attention to the person standing next to him.

The small band began to play in earnest. Considerable banter and movement was occurring at the head table, where the groom helped his bride to her feet. Jared smiled. The traditional first dance was about to begin.

He glanced back at the woman in yellow. Why hadn’t she sat at the head table along with the wedding party and the groom’s parents? He liked a woman who did things her way—to a point. He welcomed a challenge of most any kind. He had little doubt the woman in yellow would be a challenge.

No one had bothered to introduce him to the mother of the bride. He’d made a point to find out what he could about her. Kitty Paige lived inChicago. Never married, she’d raised her daughter by herself. To her credit, Susan had done well in school, in her profession and now in marriage. Her mother had little formal education beyond high school and apparently had no need for a husband. She certainly had no need for a husband’s second income. According to his sources, Kitty Paige was acknowledged, grudgingly by some, as one of the top ten most successful realtors in theChicagoarea, specializing in high end residential and commercial properties. She could likely buy and sell anyone in the room.

He smiled to himself. Well, most anyone. Jared combed his narrow mustache with his fingers and pushed away from the wall. The dance floor was already getting crowded.

Hump Day Hook – Aria Returns #HDH #menage

Welcome to the Hump Day Hook Giveaway Day! To enter for a download of Aria Returns, leave a comment answering the question at the bottom of the page.

Today is release day! Hubs and I have been living with this book a long time, and with Aria (I wish!) even longer. The love goddess Aria is one of those characters who never leaves, and we finally bowed to her wishes and wrote down her newest story, just as she told it to us. We’ve been excited to explore the realm of tantra and sacred sex again (you knew a goddess would take us there, right?), so here’s a sample of her technique for your enjoyment!

BLURB

Traumatized by the boyfriend from hell, Amber Heath makes a desperate plea for help—and is shocked when the immortal love goddess Aria materializes and whisks her away to a nineteenth century Carnivale.

Jeff Conway is still reeling from his fiancé’s betrayal and not about to risk his heart. But he’s more than willing to play with the spunky sprite Aria brings to meet him at Carnivale.

Sometimes watching, sometimes joining in, and always coaching, Aria launches Amber and Jeff on an erotic journey back to health and playfulness. But even the love goddess can’t force them to love each other.

EXCERPT

“That’s right,” Aria said. “You have her right on the edge again. Don’t make her come. Slow. Steady.”

Jeff nodded at the goddess while trying to breathe through his nose. He watched Amber blink her eyes and wet her lips, her eyes glazing over.

“I’m okay,” she whispered, answering his unspoken question. “How are you doing?”

“Okay,” he nodded in turn. “I doubt I’ve ever been deeper.” She lay beneath him with her feet flat against his chest and her knees drawn back to touch her breasts. He had one hand around her ankle and the other covered her knee. Her grip on his thigh was tight.

Amber twisted her head to look at the goddess. “How much longer?”

Aria leaned over to wipe Amber’s perspiring brow. “We’ll stay with this position a little longer, then we’ll try something different.”

“You didn’t answer my question.”

“Soon,” Aria said, kissing Amber’s mouth lightly. “Soon.” She backed away. “You’re working on a huge one, girl. Notice how each time you approach an orgasm and then back away from it, the next time you can climb just a little bit higher.”

Hump Day Hook ~ Aria Returns #HDH #paranormal # menage

Can the immortal love goddess Aria heal not one but two traumatized hearts—and if she succeeds, will those hearts open to each other?

Aria Returns will be released at Extasy Books May 1! Have you ever written a character who gets under your skin and practically haunts you, begging you to come back? Hubs and I feel like we’ve been living with the love goddess Aria for years (we wish!). Her first book, Colors of the Night, was our first published novel, in 2006, and met with stellar reviews, including five stars at TwoLips and a top pick at Night Owl Reviews. That e-pub house went belly up the following year, and we were thrilled when Extasy agreed to re-release the book after we got our rights back, in 2009.

It’s taken us a while to cave in to Aria, but she convinced us Amber Heath and Jeff Conway have a story worth telling. Here’s cover, blurb and an excerpt for you.

EXCERPT

“You want me to go away with you, like Jamie and Ryan did.”

“I’m offering you that opportunity. I believe a change of environment and time may prove very healthy for you, but only you can choose.”

“What about Frank?”

“For now, he won’t even know you’re gone. Let me explain, little one. If you agree to travel with me to another time and reality, there is no comparable time lapse in this time.” She arched an eyebrow. “Besides, I thought your boyfriend wasn’t coming back tonight. He’s saving you for breakfast.”

“Fat chance of that happening.” Amber fought the bile rising in her throat at the thought of where Frank might be at the moment. She sat up straighter. “How long do I have to decide?”

Aria shrugged a shoulder. “Until your boyfriend gets back, I suppose.”

“You don’t call him by name.”

“He doesn’t deserve to be called by name.”

Amber winced.

“All the decisions are yours, Amber. But if you ask me a question, I will not lie to you.” Aria squeezed Amber’s knee. “And if you’re wondering if I’m here to help you and your boyfriend like I did with your aunt and uncle, let me be very clear. I am not. I only help people who want to change, or at least have some hope of changing. Your current boyfriend is beyond hope. If you want me to help you fix things up with him, I will leave right now. I’d never consider letting vermin like that touch me.”

“I see.” Dejected, Amber studied her toes. “But is that the same as making a decision for me—rejecting Frank?”

Aria shook her head. “If you decide you want to travel with me for awhile to experience new possibilities, and when we’re finished you still want to come back to this man, then that is your choice. I won’t and can’t stop that from happening.”
